The revered relics of Lord Buddha, currently housed at Delhi's National Museum, will be put on public display in Arunachal Pradesh starting today.

Delhi's National Museum is transferring a set of Lord Buddha's sacred relics to Arunachal Pradesh for a temporary exhibition that begins today. The relics, considered among the most important Buddhist artifacts in India, will be displayed in a designated venue in the state to allow devotees and tourists to view them.

Officials from the Ministry of Culture said the exhibition aims to promote Buddhist heritage and foster cultural ties between the north‑east region and the rest of the country. Security and preservation measures have been put in place to ensure the relics are protected during transport and display.

The move follows a series of cultural initiatives that seek to highlight Arunachal Pradesh's historical connections to Buddhism. Visitors are expected to flock to the exhibition, which will remain open for a limited period as announced by the authorities.
