BSNL announced a phased rollout of its Superfast 5G services at the lowest rates, aiming to win over users frustrated by recent price increases from private operators Jio and Airtel.

BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) has unveiled a major offer for telecom users who have expressed dissatisfaction with recent price hikes by private operators Jio and Airtel. The public sector carrier said it will introduce its Superfast 5G services at the most affordable rates in the market.

The company confirmed that the 5G rollout will be carried out in phases, starting with select regions before expanding nationwide. By pricing the service lower than its competitors, BSNL aims to attract price‑sensitive customers and increase its market share in the fast‑growing 5G segment.

Industry analysts note that the move could intensify competition in the Indian telecom sector, compelling private players to reassess their pricing strategies. Consumers stand to benefit from more choices and potentially lower costs for high‑speed mobile connectivity.

BSNL officials emphasized that the new pricing structure is part of the carrier’s broader effort to provide affordable digital services across the country, especially in areas where private networks have been less competitive.
