A new report by IIT Delhi and TERI reveals that BS-III and BS-IV trucks entering the national capital are responsible for 62% of the particulate matter PM2.5 emissions from truck traffic.
A significant portion of Delhi's harmful PM2.5 air pollution, specifically from truck traffic, is attributed to older emission standard vehicles. A recent study conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi and The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) has identified BS-III and BS-IV compliant trucks entering the city as major contributors.
