The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) said it will commence a political drive accusing the Indian National Congress of a 1,000‑day betrayal ahead of Telangana’s upcoming elections.

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) announced plans to roll out a statewide campaign that will label the Indian National Congress as having betrayed the people of Telangana for a period of 1,000 days. The party said the initiative is intended to highlight what it describes as repeated policy reversals and broken promises by Congress leaders during the last three years.

BRS officials indicated that the campaign will involve rallies, door‑to‑door outreach and a series of public statements across major districts of the state. The timing, they added, is strategic as the party prepares for the next assembly elections, seeking to consolidate its voter base against the opposition.

While no specific dates were disclosed, the party’s spokesperson confirmed that the first rally is slated for early September in Hyderabad, where senior BRS leaders will outline the key grievances against Congress. The move underscores the intensifying political contest in Telangana ahead of the polls.
