The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has formally asked for a clear explanation of why Congress MP Revanth Reddy’s planned visit to the United States was called off.
The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) issued a public demand on Tuesday for a detailed clarification of the reasons behind the abrupt cancellation of Congress leader Revanth Reddy’s scheduled trip to the United States. The party’s statement said the lack of transparency raises questions about the motives and timing of the decision.
Revanth Reddy, a senior Congress MP from Telangana, had announced plans to travel to the U.S. for a series of meetings with diaspora groups and policy think‑tanks. The trip was called off at short notice, and no official reason has been provided by his office or the Congress leadership.
BRS officials argued that the unexplained cancellation could have political repercussions in the state, especially ahead of upcoming electoral contests. They urged the Congress to disclose any logistical, security or diplomatic issues that may have prompted the change.
As of now, neither Revanth Reddy nor the Congress party has responded to the BRS request, leaving the matter unresolved and open to speculation among political observers.
