Brazilian Film Festival Holds Scriptless Premiere in Culver City

The Brazilian Film Festival took place in Culver City, a hub of Hollywood history, where the event’s opening night featured a scriptless premiere of several Brazilian titles. The choice of venue is notable, as Culver City is credited with pioneering the modern shooting script, making the absence of a written script a deliberate irony. Filmmakers showcased their works without pre‑written scripts, relying on improvisation and spontaneous direction to convey their stories. The event drew a mix of local industry professionals and international audiences, underscoring the growing global influence of Brazilian cinema.
