The German giants Borussia Dortmund issued a formal statement confirming that head coach Niko Kovac has agreed to extend his stay at the club until 2029. The announcement underscores the board’s confidence in Kovac’s leadership and the direction he has set for the team.
The long‑term deal signals a strategic move by Dortmund to maintain stability in the coaching department, aiming to build on recent performances and pursue domestic and European ambitions. By securing Kovac for the next several seasons, the club hopes to provide continuity for its playing staff and youth development pipeline.
