A threat to plant bombs in fifteen schools across Chandigarh sparked alarm among parents, students and officials on Thursday. The warning, received by local police, led to an immediate deployment of bomb squads and security personnel to each of the identified institutions.
Police teams conducted thorough inspections of classrooms, corridors and surrounding premises, using bomb detection equipment and canine units. After several hours of systematic searches, investigators reported that no explosive material or suspicious objects were found at any of the schools.
The swift response helped restore a degree of calm, though the incident underscored concerns about school safety in the capital. Authorities have urged anyone with further information to come forward, while continuing to monitor the situation for any new threats.
No arrests have been made, and the motive behind the threat remains under investigation. The police have assured the public that heightened security measures will remain in place until the case is resolved.
