An email received early morning warned of a bomb at Shivalik School in Chandigarh's Sector 41, prompting authorities to evacuate the premises and send students home.

A bomb threat was delivered to Shivalik School in Sector 41 of Chandigarh via an email that arrived early this morning. The message warned that an explosive device could be planted on the school premises, prompting immediate action from the school administration.

Following standard protocol, the school was evacuated, and all students were dismissed and escorted home under police supervision. The Chandigarh Police, along with bomb disposal units, arrived at the site to secure the area and begin a thorough sweep for any suspicious objects.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the threat was credible enough to warrant a full lockdown, although no explosive device has been found so far. The police have launched a cyber‑forensic inquiry to trace the origin of the email and are appealing to the public for any information that could aid the investigation.

The school will remain closed until authorities declare the campus safe. Parents have been advised to keep children away from the premises and to stay alert for further notices from the school and local law enforcement.
