BJP wins 197 civic body posts in Rajasthan, double Congress tally

In Rajasthan's recent civic body elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party secured 197 positions, which is twice the number won by the Congress. Elections for the remaining posts are scheduled to be held later.
The Bharatiya Janata Party emerged as the single largest party in the civic body elections across Rajasthan, capturing 197 heads of municipal corporations, municipalities and town panels. This performance marks a significant lead over its principal rival, the Congress party, whose tally is approximately half of the BJP’s figure.
