BJP workers across India rallied to condemn Congress leader Rahul Kharge’s remarks that they described as derogatory towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) mobilised its cadre in several Indian cities to protest what it termed a derogatory comment by Congress leader Rahul Kharge on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Party volunteers gathered outside regional offices, raised Indian flags and chanted slogans praising the Prime Minister while demanding a formal apology from Kharge.
BJP leaders asserted that Kharge’s statements were intended to tarnish the image of the Prime Minister and called them "derogatory" and "unacceptable". They urged the opposition to retract the remarks and warned that such language would only deepen political polarization.
The coordinated demonstrations, reported by Sikkimexpress, reflect the party’s strategy of turning the controversy into a rallying point for its supporters nationwide. No official response from Kharge or the Congress party was recorded at the time of reporting.
