Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma met his ministers to outline a strategy for upcoming Panchayati Raj elections, aiming to create a ‘triple‑engine’ government from gram panchayats to district councils.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Rajasthan celebrated a decisive victory in the recent urban local body elections. Riding on that momentum, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma convened a high‑level meeting with senior ministers to chart the party’s approach for the forthcoming Panchayati Raj polls.
During the discussion, the CM emphasized the need to translate the urban success into rural strongholds. The ministers examined past performance at gram panchayat, block and district levels, identifying key constituencies where the party could consolidate support.
The core of the strategy is the creation of a “triple‑engine” government – a coordinated win across gram panchayats, block development councils and district councils. By aligning campaign messages and resources across these three tiers, the BJP hopes to secure a seamless governance structure that extends from the village to the district.
Officials indicated that the plan will be rolled out in phases, beginning with intensive outreach in districts where the party’s urban vote share was highest. The timeline for the Panchayati Raj elections will guide the scheduling of rallies, candidate selections and grassroots mobilization.
