The BJP sharply countered Rahul Gandhi’s comment that ‘this Hindustan does not belong to your abbujan’ made during the INDIA bloc rally, reiterating its stance on national unity.
Rahul Gandhi addressed a gathering of the INDIA alliance, asserting that the country does not belong to any particular community and using the phrase “this Hindustan does not belong to your abbujan.”
In response, a senior BJP spokesperson denounced the remark as divisive, emphasizing that India belongs to all its citizens irrespective of caste, religion or region. The party reiterated its commitment to uphold the nation’s secular and inclusive character.
Political analysts noted that the exchange underscores the heightened rhetoric ahead of upcoming elections, with both sides seeking to mobilise their bases on issues of identity and national cohesion.
