BJP protests in Bhopal over Kharge's remarks, gathers at Lal Parade Maidan

Bhopal witnessed a political rally on Monday as members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) gathered at Lal Parade Maidan to voice opposition to remarks made by senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge. The demonstration featured slogans, placards and a call for the Congress leader to retract his statements, which the BJP described as inflammatory.

Organisers of the protest said the gathering was a peaceful expression of dissent and that participants would remain within the designated area to avoid any disruption to public order. Local police were present to monitor the crowd and ensure compliance with security protocols.

The protest coincided with other political activities in the capital, including a BJP meeting and a scheduled press conference by opposition leader Umang Singhar at his government residence. However, the focus of the day’s coverage remained on the BJP’s demonstration against Kharge's comments.

No incidents of violence were reported, and the protest concluded after a few hours as participants dispersed peacefully.
