The ruling BJP, the state administration and the RSS have unveiled a coordinated strategy to engage over 1.4 crore first‑time voters aged 18‑29 in Madhya Pradesh through schools, colleges and social media.

Madhya Pradesh is set to see more than 1.4 crore first‑time voters in the 18‑29 age bracket, a demographic that could shape the outcome of upcoming state and national elections. Recognising its significance, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the state government and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) have jointly announced a comprehensive outreach programme aimed at this youthful electorate.

The plan focuses on direct engagement within schools and colleges, where interactive sessions, career‑oriented workshops and political awareness drives will be organised. Parallel to on‑ground activities, a digital campaign will leverage popular social‑media platforms, employing influencers and targeted content to communicate the party’s policies and development agenda.

Party officials have indicated that the initiative seeks to “strengthen dialogue” with young citizens and to present a “modern, responsive image” of the BJP and its allied organisations. By combining traditional educational outreach with contemporary online channels, the strategy aims to build sustained contact with the youth beyond the election cycle.

Analysts suggest that such a focused approach could consolidate the BJP’s support base among first‑time voters, especially in urban and semi‑urban districts where social‑media consumption is high. The rollout is expected to begin in the coming weeks, with pilot programmes in select districts before expanding statewide.
