The Bharatiya Janata Party secured additional seats in recent Rajasthan local body elections, while the Indian National Congress struggled with internal disputes that hampered its campaign.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) emerged stronger in the latest round of local body elections across Rajasthan, adding several municipal and panchayat seats to its tally. Party workers reported enthusiastic turnouts in key districts, indicating a continued foothold in the state's grassroots politics.
Meanwhile, the Indian National Congress faced visible internal discord as rival factions vied for control over candidate selections and campaign strategies. Sources within the party said that disagreements over leadership appointments disrupted coordination among volunteers, weakening its outreach efforts.
Political analysts note that the BJP's gains, coupled with the Congress's infighting, could reshape the balance of power ahead of the upcoming state assembly polls, potentially influencing voter sentiment in both urban and rural constituencies.
