Former BSF personnel Maya Aud, with five years of national service, has been nominated by the BJP to contest the District Council election for Ward 23 in Baran, Rajasthan.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has announced former Border Security Force (BSF) employee Maya Aud as its candidate for the District Council election from Ward 23 of Baran district in Rajasthan. The nomination was made during a party meeting in Baran, signalling the party’s focus on fielding candidates with a service background.
Maya Aud spent five years serving in the BSF, where she was part of the force’s women contingent. Her tenure in the paramilitary organization involved duties that required discipline, physical endurance, and a commitment to national security.
Transitioning from defence to public life, Aud says she now wishes to serve society by addressing local issues and representing the concerns of residents in her ward. She has expressed a desire to use her experience in service to improve civic amenities and resolve everyday problems faced by the community.
The upcoming District Council polls will determine the representative for Ward 23, and Aud’s candidature adds a profile of a former security personnel to the political contest in the region.
