The Bharatiya Janata Party sharply criticised senior Congress leader Rahul Kharge for calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi 'Modi ka baap', labeling the remark disrespectful.
The Bharatiya Janata Party issued a strong rebuke after senior Congress leader Rahul Kharge referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as "Modi ka baap". BJP officials said the language was unbecoming of parliamentary debate and disrespected the office of the Prime Minister.
Kharge made the remark during a public address, where he sought to highlight the ruling party’s perceived dominance in national politics. The comment quickly drew attention on social media and prompted responses from multiple political quarters.
In response, the BJP called for a formal apology and warned that such personal attacks undermine democratic discourse. Party leaders emphasized that criticism should focus on policies, not on personal or familial references.
