BJP Accuses AAP of Ties to Punjab Drug Mafia, Urges NDA Alliance for 2027

The BJP has publicly linked the Aam Aadmi Party to drug trafficking networks in Punjab, calling for a National Democratic Alliance (NDA) partnership as the preferred political solution ahead of the 2027 elections.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has issued a sharp critique of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), alleging that the opposition is connected to drug trafficking networks operating in Punjab. The party’s leaders framed the accusations as part of a broader campaign to highlight governance failures in the state.

In a statement released earlier this week, BJP officials cited reports of drug smuggling routes that allegedly pass through areas controlled by AAP members. While no concrete evidence has been presented publicly, the party claims that these links undermine public trust and threaten regional security.

The BJP has used the controversy to push for a stronger National Democratic Alliance (NDA) presence in Punjab. Party leaders argue that an NDA-led government would be better equipped to tackle drug-related crimes and restore law and order before the next general elections in 2027.

Political analysts suggest that the BJP’s move is aimed at consolidating its base in Punjab and positioning itself as the primary opposition to the AAP, especially as the 2027 electoral cycle approaches.
