Bike Attack and Shooting Kills Panchayat Chief's Son‑in‑law in Madhupur, Bihar

On Monday evening in Madhupur's Puraani police‑station area, criminals on a motorcycle forced Vikas Kumar (aka Vicky Mehta) to fall and shot him dead, police said.
Madhupur, Bihar – Police investigations reveal that a group of unidentified men on a motorcycle deliberately collided with a two‑wheeler carrying Vikas Kumar, also known as Vicky Mehta, on Monday evening. The impact caused Kumar to lose balance and fall to the ground.
After the fall, the assailants opened fire at close range, fatally wounding Kumar. He was the son‑in‑law of Rita Devi, the elected head (Mukhiya) of Nardah Panchayat.
Local authorities have launched a case of murder and are seeking witnesses and CCTV footage to identify the perpetrators. The incident has heightened concerns over law‑and‑order in the region, prompting calls for increased police patrolling in rural Bihar.
