As per the new initiative, the state will celebrate 'Bihar Pension Day' on the 10th of every month. On this day, the government will transfer Rs 1,100 to the accounts of 97.84 lakh social security pensioners through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme. This move is expected to bring relief to the pensioners who often face delays in receiving their pension amounts. The state government has already transferred Rs 1,423.94 crore to the accounts of pensioners.
