Teacher job seekers in Bihar have asked the state to issue the Teacher Recruitment Examination notification within a day and warned they will encircle the education minister.
Bihar’s pool of candidates awaiting the Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE) has issued a fresh demand, urging the state government to release the official notification within the next 24 hours. The aspirants argue that prolonged delays are hampering their career prospects and creating uncertainty across the state’s education sector.
In response to what they describe as administrative inertia, the groups have warned they will stage a “gherao” – a sit‑in encirclement – of the state’s education minister until their demand is met. Organisers said the protest would be peaceful but firm, aiming to compel swift action.
As of now, the education department has not issued a formal statement on the timeline for the TRE notification, nor has it confirmed whether it will engage with the protesters’ demands.
