The revenue staff strike in Bihar has softened, allowing the restoration of RTPS services, while the state government has instructed employees to resume duties within three days.

The collective strike by revenue officers and clerks in Bihar, which had disrupted the Revenue Transfer and Payment System (RTPS), began to ease this week. Following negotiations, the department announced that RTPS services are now operational, restoring access to land records and payment processing for the public.

The Revenue Service Union indicated that it has reached consensus on several pending issues, though some demands remain under discussion. State Revenue Minister Dr. Dilip Jaiswal assured that the government will take appropriate action on the remaining grievances raised by employee unions.

In a separate directive, the Bihar government ordered all revenue staff to report back to work within three days, warning that failure to comply could attract disciplinary measures. Officials said the move aims to normalise administration and prevent further inconvenience to citizens.

The resumption of RTPS is expected to alleviate the backlog of land‑related services that had affected farmers, property buyers and other stakeholders across the state.
