Indian Railways has given the go-ahead for the doubling of the 44.40-kilometer-long Mansi-Saharsa rail line in Bihar. This significant infrastructure development is set to enhance train operations in the region.

The project has an estimated cost of Rs 499 crore. The primary objectives include mitigating train delays, substantially increasing the capacity of the rail line, and facilitating an additional 17.64 lakh tonnes of freight transportation annually.

This initiative is expected to bring about a notable improvement in the efficiency and reliability of train services along the Mansi-Saharsa corridor.
