Bihar MP Pappu Yadav Visits Flood-Hit Saran, Demands Rs 5,000 Crore Relief Package

Bihar MP Pappu Yadav toured flood-affected areas in Saran district and urged the central government to allocate a special relief package worth Rs 5,000 crore for rehabilitation. He said the floods have impacted large parts of the state beyond just Saran.
MP Pappu Yadav, who represents the Purnea constituency, arrived in Saran district to inspect the flood situation after heavy rains caused widespread waterlogging across the region.
During his visit, he spoke with local residents and district officials, observing damage to houses, roads and agricultural fields.
Yadav urged the central government to announce a special relief package of Rs 5,000 crore to support immediate relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction works in Bihar.
He stressed that the flood impact extends beyond Saran, affecting many districts of the state, and called for swift central assistance to mitigate the crisis.
