Bihar launches 'Vidya Saathi' platform, 24x7 live teachers for 3 lakh students

Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary inaugurated the Bihar Vidya Saathi platform, offering round‑the‑clock live teacher interaction and AI support to roughly 300,000 students in 700 model schools.
On the day of the launch, the Bihar government introduced a digital learning initiative called Bihar Vidya Saathi. The platform delivers one‑to‑one interactive sessions with live teachers available around the clock, complemented by artificial‑intelligence tools that answer queries and personalise study material.
The rollout targets 700 Saraswati Vidya Niketan model schools across 38 districts, linking them to the platform so that an estimated 300,000 students can access continuous academic support beyond regular school hours.
Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary said the scheme is designed to bridge learning gaps, especially in remote and underserved areas, by leveraging technology to provide quality education. The administration will monitor usage data and consider expanding the service based on feedback.
