Bihar Imposes Strict Dress Code for Teachers, Bans DJs at School Events

The Bihar Education Department has issued a new directive requiring all teachers to wear dignified formal attire at schools, effectively banning casual or informal clothing. The order, issued on Tuesday, states that teachers must don formal suits, shirts, and appropriate footwear during school hours and official events.

In addition to the dress code, the department has prohibited the use of DJs and music playback devices at school functions, citing concerns over maintaining decorum and preventing distractions during academic activities. The ban covers all school events, including cultural programs, sports days, and parent-teacher meetings.
