Patna, August 20 (ANI) – Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary's administration unveiled a new initiative that will compensate online content creators for the number of views their posts generate about government schemes and public‑interest programmes. The move is part of a broader social‑media policy aimed at leveraging digital platforms to reach a larger audience in a short span of time.
Under the proposal, creators who publish verified information on platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and regional short‑video apps will receive a monetary reward tied to predefined view thresholds. While the exact payment rates were not disclosed, officials said the scheme will be funded through the state’s digital outreach budget.
The policy seeks to address the challenge of misinformation and low awareness of welfare schemes among rural and urban populations. By incentivising creators, the government hopes to accelerate the dissemination of accurate details about benefits, eligibility and application procedures.
