Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has directed the VB‑G Ramji Mission to guarantee 125 days of employment per year for rural families and to ensure wages are paid within 15 days.
The Bihar government has issued a new directive under the VB‑G Ramji Mission to provide rural families with guaranteed employment for 125 days each year.
Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary also mandated that wages for workers engaged under the mission be paid within 15 days of completion of work, aiming to reduce delays and improve livelihoods.
The directive comes as part of a broader push to channel 22,000 crore rupees of development schemes into rural areas, with the mission covering infrastructure, livelihood, and skill development projects.
The government said the employment guarantee will be monitored by district authorities and that beneficiaries will receive a stipend for each day of work.
The move is expected to boost rural employment and strengthen the state's focus on inclusive development ahead of the upcoming elections.
