Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has ordered an investigation into meat processing units operating and planned in Simraha, Araria district, following significant public concern raised during a public meeting.

The issue surrounding meat processing units in Araria district, specifically in the Simraha police station area, became a focal point during a public gathering on Tuesday. The event, a Jan Sahyog Shivir and Jan Sabha organized by Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, took place at the Haripur Panchayat Sarkar Bhawan complex in Forbesganj block.

During the public meeting, attendees voiced their concerns, with some reportedly arriving with posters to highlight the matter. The presence of both existing and proposed meat processing facilities in the region sparked considerable public attention.

In response to the public's concerns, Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary directed officials to initiate an inquiry into the meat processing units. The investigation aims to address the issues raised by the local populace.
