The Bihar government has introduced a strict dress code prohibiting jeans and is organising DJ performances in classrooms to restore the dignity of its government schools.

Patna – In a bid to improve the ambience and respectability of government schools, the Bihar state administration has rolled out a new set of guidelines that forbid students from wearing jeans on campus. The move, announced by the education department, aims to promote a uniform appearance and curb distractions linked to casual attire.

Alongside the dress code, officials have introduced DJ shows during school assemblies and cultural events. These musical sessions are intended to make school life more engaging, encouraging attendance and fostering a sense of pride among pupils.

The combined strategy reflects Bihar's broader effort to revitalize public education by addressing both behavioural standards and extracurricular appeal, hoping to attract more families to enrol their children in government schools.
