Bidar: Gandhi Jayanti Cleanliness Drive at DIET Garden
Bidar: On the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi's 157th birth anniversary, a special cleanliness drive was conducted at the DIET central garden in the city. The program aimed at maintaining the garden's cleanliness and promoting a green environment. Dr. Mohammad Gulshan, the principal of the institute, along with staff, local youth, NSS students, and the public actively participated in the event. Volunteers collected plastic waste, dry leaves, and other debris from various corners of the garden to clear and beautify the area.
The drive included cleaning grass and walking paths in the garden, coupled with awareness activities about a plastic-free environment and waste segregation. Additionally, saplings were planted to emphasize the importance of environmental conservation. The event concluded with a call to make cleanliness a daily habit rather than a one-day activity and a pledge to realize Gandhi's vision of a clean and healthy India.
