Bhopal: Weight & Measures Deputy Controller Caught Taking Rs 1 Lakh Bribe

Bhopal's Lokayukta Police has apprehended a retired inspector while accepting a bribe of Rs 1 lakh from the Deputy Controller of the Weight and Measures Department. The Deputy Controller was allegedly demanding Rs 4 lakh.
In a significant anti-corruption operation, the Lokayukta Police in Bhopal has exposed a bribery case involving the Department of Legal Metrology (Weight and Measures).
A retired inspector was apprehended red-handed while accepting a sum of Rs 1 lakh. This amount was reportedly part of a larger bribe demanded by the Deputy Controller of the department.
