Protests have intensified against the proposal to change the name of Barkatullah University to Vagdevi Bhojpal University. MLA Arif Masood has submitted a memorandum to the Governor demanding a halt to the name change process.
The controversy surrounding the proposed name change of Barkatullah University has gained momentum. The university, established 38 years ago, has been a significant institution in the state. The proposal to change its name to Vagdevi Bhojpal University has met with strong resistance from various quarters. MLA Arif Masood has taken the lead in opposing the move, submitting a memorandum to the Governor and demanding that the name change process be halted. Masood has also suggested that a new university be established instead of changing the name of the existing one.
