Teacher candidates in Bhopal have continued their protest for a 26th day, marching to the Directorate of Public Instruction (DPI) demanding higher posts and a second counseling round for the 2025 recruitment.

Teacher candidates gathered at Nielam Park in Bhopal on Tuesday, marking the 26th consecutive day of their protest. The demonstrators, who have been fasting without water for five days, demanded an increase in the number of teaching posts and the initiation of a second counseling session for the 2025 recruitment.

The march culminated at the Directorate of Public Instruction (DPI), where the candidates presented their demands to officials. Despite the sustained pressure, the authorities have yet to announce any concrete changes to the recruitment process.

The protest has drawn attention from local media and political leaders, but the candidates remain steadfast in their demands. They have called for a meeting with the education department to discuss the feasibility of their requests.

Police maintained order throughout the rally, allowing the candidates to march peacefully. The movement is expected to continue until the issues are addressed by the government.
