Bhopal Food Safety Dept. to Inspect School-College Canteens After Lizard Found in Hostel Food

Reports of insects and a lizard in hostel food prompted the Food Safety Department to order a comprehensive inspection of all school and college canteens and hostel messes in Bhopal. The department will deploy two inspection teams to assess the quality of food served, cleanliness of kitchens, storage facilities, and measures taken to prevent rodents and pests. Officials will also verify that food handling practices meet the standards set by the state and central food safety regulations. The inspections aim to identify any lapses and ensure that students and staff receive safe, hygienic meals.
