In a remarkable medical feat, doctors at AIIMS in Bhopal have saved the life of a one-month-old baby weighing just 1.4kg. The baby was born with a serious heart condition where a blood vessel did not close after birth. Several hospitals had refused to treat the baby due to its low weight. However, the doctors at AIIMS accepted the challenge and successfully closed the blood vessel in just 35 minutes without performing open heart surgery. This achievement has set a new record in central India.
