Bhogdoi River Overflows, Flooding Jorhat Town’s Borigaon Area

Heavy monsoon rains have caused the Bhogdoi River to overflow its banks, sending water into the Borigaon area of Jorhat town. The sudden surge has flooded streets, damaged property, and left several residents stranded.

Local authorities have issued evacuation orders for the most affected blocks and are coordinating with the Assam Disaster Response Force to conduct rescue operations. Rescue teams are working to clear debris and provide relief supplies to those displaced.
