BHEL, a state‑owned industrial giant, has entered into a joint venture with Norwegian technology firm Hystar to set up a manufacturing facility for PEM electrolyzers in India. The move is part of India’s broader push to develop a robust hydrogen economy and reduce reliance on imported technology.
PEM electrolyzers are critical components for producing green hydrogen, a clean fuel that can be used in power generation, transportation, and industrial processes.
