BharatNet Phase III fibre deployment in Himachal Pradesh has crossed the 40% completion mark, according to the latest update from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
The project, which aims to connect all villages in the state with high‑speed broadband by the end of 2025, now links roughly 1,000 villages and has laid about 1,200 kilometres of fibre.
Officials say the progress is on schedule and that the expanded connectivity will enhance digital services, e‑governance and local economic development.
The government plans to accelerate deployment in the remaining areas and expects full connectivity across Himachal Pradesh by the end of the year.
