A mother of three from Bhagalpur who pretended to be murdered was rescued by police in Mumbai after being missing for 21 days, prompting a criminal investigation.
Bhagalpur, Bihar – Police in the Eshipur police station received a disturbing call 21 days ago when a woman who was the mother of three children was reported missing. The missing person later claimed she had been murdered, prompting investigators to search her residence for clues.
At the scene, officers discovered fresh blood stains, a kitchen knife and several broken bangles, all of which suggested a violent struggle. However, forensic analysis soon raised doubts about the authenticity of the alleged crime, indicating that the evidence could have been planted.
Further inquiries traced the woman's movements to Mumbai, where she was located alive and in good health. She was taken into police custody and is now being questioned about the false murder claim. The case has been registered as a criminal deception, and legal proceedings are expected to follow.
