Bengaluru Court Rejects Bail for IAS Officer Gyanendra Gangwar in KPSC Job Scam

In a decision announced on Tuesday, the Karnataka High Court in Bengaluru rejected the bail application of IAS officer Gyanendra Kumar Gangwar. Gangwar is facing charges in a job‑for‑cash scam that allegedly involved the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC). His counsel had argued that the officer suffers from serious health problems that require hospital treatment and bed rest. The court, however, was concerned about potential witness tampering and interference with the ongoing investigation. The prosecution highlighted that granting bail could jeopardise the integrity of the case and the safety of witnesses.
