West Bengal Police and Rashtriya Raksha University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at enhancing the capabilities of cyber crime investigation units.

The West Bengal Police force has entered into a significant collaboration with the Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU). A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been officially signed between the two entities to bolster the effectiveness of cyber crime investigations.

This partnership is expected to bring new strategies and expertise to the forefront of tackling cyber-related offenses within the state. The initiative aims to strengthen the probe mechanisms currently in place for cyber crime.

The proposal for this collaborative effort was initially put forth by Rashtriya Raksha University in November 2025. The agreement, following a period of consideration, has now been finalized, marking a key step towards modernizing law enforcement's approach to digital crime.
