Bangalore Development Authority has launched a scheme offering cash rewards up to ₹4 lakh to citizens who provide accurate information on properties illegally occupied or registered with forged documents.

Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) has announced a new initiative to reward citizens with cash prizes of up to ₹4 lakh for providing accurate information on properties that are illegally occupied or have been registered with forged documents.

The scheme aims to encourage public participation in identifying and reporting unlawful property claims, thereby helping the BDA to take corrective action and restore rightful ownership.

Under the program, individuals who submit verifiable details about such properties will receive a monetary reward, with the amount capped at ₹4 lakh per case.

The BDA has highlighted that the initiative will strengthen its efforts to curb property fraud and ensure that land records reflect legitimate ownership.
