The Barwani police superintendent’s office and five local stations in Madhya Pradesh have been awarded ISO certification for upgraded facilities and processes.
Barwani district’s police force has achieved ISO certification, covering the Kotwali Barwani, Silavad, Sendhwa city, Sendhwa rural and Rajpur police stations along with the superintendent’s office. The certification recognises compliance with international standards for operational efficiency, transparency and public service quality.
According to the certification report, the stations have introduced several modern amenities, including dedicated women’s cells and QR‑code based systems for record‑keeping and citizen interaction. These upgrades aim to streamline case management and enhance accessibility for the public.
The ISO award is being hailed as a milestone for law‑enforcement in Madhya Pradesh, signalling a shift towards more accountable and technology‑driven policing. Officials said the achievement will encourage other districts to adopt similar reforms.
The ceremony was attended by senior police officials and local dignitaries, who underscored the importance of continuous improvement in policing standards to build public trust.
