Barmer Girls College Students Protest JNVU Exam Fee Hike, Shut College Gate

Female students of the M.B.C. Girls College in Barmer gathered on campus to voice their opposition to a recent hike in examination fees announced by Jay Narayan Vyas University (JNVU), Jodhpur. The protest was organized under the banner of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).\n\nThe students demanded that the university withdraw the fee increase, arguing that it places an undue financial burden on those pursuing higher education, especially in a region where many families already face economic constraints.\n\nTo draw attention to their demands, the protesters locked the main gate of the college and chanted slogans, urging the authorities to reconsider the fee structure. The demonstration remained peaceful, with no reports of clashes or police intervention at the time of reporting.
