Elections for six urban local bodies in Baran district will be conducted in two phases across 210 wards, with about 190,000 registered voters eligible to cast their votes.

The Election Commission has announced that Baran district in Rajasthan will conduct municipal elections for six urban local bodies in two separate phases. The polling will cover 210 wards, and an estimated 190,000 registered voters are expected to participate in deciding the fate of the candidates.

The two-phase schedule is designed to ensure orderly voting and adequate security across the district. As soon as the election timetable was released, the Model Code of Conduct came into force, restricting political activities that could influence the electorate.

Election officials have urged voters to verify their registration details and to follow the guidelines issued under the code of conduct. The outcome will determine the composition of local governing bodies that manage civic services in Baran.

The polling dates, specific ward-wise arrangements, and the list of contesting candidates will be made available on the official election portal. Voter awareness campaigns are being carried out by the district administration to encourage maximum turnout.
