Baran district’s Sub‑Divisional Magistrate Hawaai Singh Yadav has been charged by the Rajasthan Anti‑Corruption Bureau (ACB) for allegedly demanding a bribe to cancel a court‑ordered stay on a land agreement. The complaint, filed after a confidential inquiry, states that Yadav asked for money in exchange for removing the injunction.
According to the investigation report, the initial demand was ₹5 lakh, but the amount was later negotiated down to ₹45,000 before the stay order was lifted. The ACB’s inquiry linked the payment directly to the magistrate’s authority to alter the legal restriction on the property.
