Former Bangladeshi prime minister Sheikh Hasina told the Associated Press she will come back from exile in December, insisting she will do so at any cost.
Sheikh Hasina, who was removed from office in Bangladesh, said to the Associated Press that she plans to return from exile in December, emphasizing that she will achieve it "at any cost." The statement was reported by The Washington Post, which noted that Hasina remains outside Bangladesh following her ouster.
Hasina did not disclose her current location or the specific steps she intends to take for the return, but her remarks signal a determination to re‑enter the country's political arena. No official comment has been released by the Bangladeshi government or the interim authorities regarding her planned comeback.
The announcement arrives amid ongoing political tension in Bangladesh, where the transition of power after the ouster has been closely watched by regional observers. Analysts say Hasina's pledge could influence both domestic opposition dynamics and Bangladesh's diplomatic engagements, though concrete details about her return remain limited.
