The Bangladeshi movie ‘Roid’ has been included in the lineup of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) being held in Goa.
The Bangladeshi feature titled “Roid” has secured a slot in the official competition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), the country’s premier film showcase, which this year is taking place in Goa. The selection was announced by the festival’s programming committee, highlighting the film’s artistic merit and its relevance to South Asian cinema.
IFFI, organized by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, draws filmmakers, critics and audiences from across the globe. “Roid” will be screened alongside entries from India and other nations, offering a platform for Bangladeshi storytelling to reach a wider international audience.
Festival officials said the inclusion underscores the growing cultural exchange between India and Bangladesh, and they expect the film to generate considerable interest among festival-goers. The screening is scheduled for the upcoming week at the Goa Convention Centre.
Industry observers note that participation in IFFI can boost a film’s visibility, potentially opening doors to further festival circuits and distribution opportunities beyond the sub‑continent.
